A reflective essay on the creative process, finding your pace, and the friction between manual, human-driven tools - whether analogue or digital - and the automated systems making most of the decisions for you.
Being repeatedly "told" by social media platforms that I’m a "suspicious entity" is a strange reality. It’s part of a larger friction - the way the digital world views privacy, the shift in how tools are used, and the quiet relief of manual things like mechanical pencils and hardware instruments.
Sometimes, it’s just about finding a way to keep creating without losing the thread of what makes it pleasurable.
I’m sharing a few observations and trying to find quiet; set against a quiet synth sketch. At the end, I’ve put together a finished track using some of the recordings from the session.
