About the release

This was the final release of 2020 — a surprisingly productive year. In some ways, the pandemic created the space for that.

The title speaks for itself. At the time, I felt disconnected — like I wasn’t quite where I was supposed to be, physically or otherwise.

I also remember putting a lot of effort into making a simple YouTube video, just to avoid using a static cover image. It feels a bit naive now, maybe even amateurish. For a while, I was a little embarrassed by it. But with time, I’ve come to see it differently. It captured something real — a moment, a mood — and I think that’s enough.
